As I previously mentioned, I spend the weekend in Seattle. But, before I left, I swiftly finished a pretty little wedding invitation and envelopes for a wonderful bride in NYC. Since this was an absolute rush order, and only I finished the last envelope 4 hours before my 5AM flight, I'm a few days late on this post. Even so, enjoy!
Without an issue to complain about since my favorite nibs arrived, this custom calligraphy stationary set is complete and on its way to a super lovely bride-to-be for print production! Here is peek at the process:
Two versions on the drawing board: Stationary card and return addy envelope
I was commissioned through ETSY to calligraphy a stationary card and envelope for a super, sweet bride-to-be in Colorado. Although I was excited to start the project, the "calligraphy gods" just weren't on my side. As it turns out, I ran out of my favorite calligraphy nibs and I had trouble scanning the artwork without it looking pixelated. So frustrating! Thankfully, I have a wonderful understanding ETSY buyer and I'm going to give it another go this week when my new nibs arrive.
A wonderfully, useful yard sale find: A glass candle holder turned calligraphy inkwell!
This "inkwell" is the perfect circumference and depth to hold just the right amount of ink. And, at $.15 it was another yard sale score!
